Status of Comparative Literature in Persian Language and Literature

In this article, we provide a brief explanation about comparative literature and then compare the historical criticism and the comparative literature. And we mention the views of several wise and learned professors. And at the end, we do the comparative criticism of Khaghani, Behtari and Pourkeshi in Shahnameh and the similar Greek works. Comparative literature is one of the todayʹs new wide branches of the literature and drama which investigates the similarities and differences among the different samples of the literary works. And what is the intention of the researcher and critics in the comparative literature is not the literary work itself but the quality, manifestation and the reflection of the literary works of a nation on the literary works of another nation.
