Computational Strategy of Russell measure

Models of Data envelopment analysis (DEA) can be partitioned in to two groups: radial and non-radial models. The performance of decision making units (DMUs) depends only on the identified efficient frontier characterized by efficient units. In the analytical framework of the radial efficiency measure, Russell measure is proposed, which is modeled by a non-linear programming formulation. This study develops the Russell measure of efficiency to measurement technical efficiency. This extensive of DEA models, is illustrated by an empirical application to bank branches.
