چكيده لاتين :
In the third Millennium, the success and development of organizations relies heavily on the accessibility of accurate information of high quality level of knowledge, and skills and the proper behaviors of human resources. While the information overload is an important concern, Human Resource Managers face the lack of classified information. This has led to a strong need for Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). These systems assist the managers with the extraction and classification of the required data from a huge pool by means of storing qualitative information. This article presents a review and analysis of HRIS together with a brief introduction of their current status. In this study, theoretical and practical models of these systems are introduced first. The necessities of application of such systems in todayʹs organizations are then justified. Some definitions of various databases and software banks, will also lead to analysis of HRIS. Finally, a theoretical and a practical model of HRIS for governmental organizations are presented based on which a software is recommended in order to minimize the gap between the current and the required status of HRIS.
