The Halt of the US Missile Defense Shield and the Prospect of Integration in Eurasia

The general approach of the US foreign policy has always been to create a kind of balance between the models of continuity and change. Based on this, the present article believes that the presidency of Barrack Obama has led the possible options in international arena of political games into a determining selection. Based on this, the US selects among hegemony and multilateralism. The halt of Missile Defense is as a symbol of deviating from hegemony and moving to multilateralism. The halt of Missile Defense and movement of the US to a multilateral model distancing from hegemony-oriented policies has contributed to decreasing the current anti-trends in Eurasia.
