The role and effects of Hometown Associations on rural development (a case of study Daryan village)

The Hometown Associations is defined as an association that is consisted of migrants from one village living together in cities. Some of these associations are established in accordance with special kind of activities on defined places in large cities . The main reason s for establishing of this kind of associations are kinships ties neighboring relations and in some places on religious activities. The most important do ties of such an association are to familiar the migrants (new comers) to the new places and help them to find the jobs and businesses. In addition, play important role in rural development. This article is a summary of a research on different aspects of development that took place in Daryan village in Shabestar in East Azarbaijan. The method of this research is qualitative as well as quantities one. Daryanni associations have done plenty of programs on their hometown. One can conclude that the Hometown Association could play a crucial role in rural development.
