چكيده لاتين :
There is a common belief that environmental factors and individual behaviors may lead to organizational effectiveness. The present study attempts to find if, there is a relationship between the principals behavioral categoriesʹ and school effectiveness. The methodology of the research is a descriptive survey one in which data is gathered through stratified sampling from 50 high schools in Tehran city. The instrument was a researcher made questionnaire, that its reliability was calculated through Cronbach coefficient formula (a=. /86). Data were analyzed through central tendency measures, Pearson correlation and regression analysis. The finding of the study shows that there is a positive relationship between leaders participative, goal oriented behaviors and school educational effectiveness. On the other hand there was no relationship between leaderʹs directive situational behavior and school effectiveness. Participative behavior of principals had a positive relationship with integrity and adjustability variables. No significant relationship between sex of the principals and school educational effectiveness was found.
