The relationship between parentsʹ marital adjustment, Parentsʹ Rearing Style and health of children in Shirazʹ high school

The purpose of present study was to examine the relationship between parentsʹ marital adjustment with childrenʹs physical and psychological health. To do this, 154 high school students (80 girls and 74 boys) were selected randomly through cluster sampling from the city of Shiraz. Dyadic Adjustment Scale was used for measuring parentsʹ marital adjustment and Sf-36 Health Survey Questionnaire was used to measure childrenʹsʹ General Health. The results of regression analysis showed that these components were mostly significant in relation with physical and psychological health of children: fatherʹs and mothersʹ dyadic satisfaction and fatherʹs rearing style.
