An Analysis of Information and Communication Technology Condition and its Role in and Planning Urban Management The Case Stud: Najaf Abad City

The aim of present study is to analyze the ICT status and itʹs role on city planning and management. This study is based on the findings and result of a case study conducted in Najaf Abad city and the data is collected among organizations and citizens of the mentioned city. Data was gathered through library research, questionnaires and related documents. The gathered data was analyze using SPSS. The researchers came up with the following results: - The frequency of using ICT facilities in doing common deeds of city is very low. - ICT centers, facilities and internet serving bases in Najaf Abad did a satisfying job in E-citizen to people. - Regarding E-citizen index and the extract of itʹ acceptance, individuals were more willing to use this technology. - And finally, the ICT is easily available for managers and individuals to do their affairs usually in person. The study showed that managers tend to do these affairs traditionally, due to structural deficiencies and lack of expertise in using this technology. A number of issues were also suggested to the improvement of this technology in cities.
