The comparative study of relationship between spiritual Experience scale & Spiritual Transcendence Scale in prediction of depression in students

The purpose of this study was to comparative study of the relationship between Spiritual Experience Scale (SES) and Spiritual Transcendence Scale (STS) with depression in students of the University of Tehran (N=221-104male (fell? female, mean age=23). Students responded to spiritual experience scale (SES), Spiritual Transcendence Scale (STS) and Disposition Depression Scale (DDS). T test, correlation and regression techniques were used to examine differences and relationship between variables among students. Independent T test indicated that there Is significant difference between male & female in different spiritual components. But there is not difference between male & female in depression. In addition the results of enter regression & the study of incremental validity of Spiritual Experience Scale (SES) & Spiritual Transcendence Scale (STS) indicated that Spiritual Experience Scale (SES) has greater power in predication of depression among students of the university of Tehran.
