The Study of Developmental Values and Related Factors among Youth

This research was coducted using survey method on the development values among 14-29 aged youth in Shiraz city. The sample was consisted of 888 youth being selected through cluster sampling method. Respondents answered to an appropriate questionnaire. Universalism, participation in volunteer associations, participatory family socialization, mass media use, and political satisfaction had direct significant correlation with development values. Multiple regression analyzed showed that participatory family socialization, universalism, trust to others, and participation in voluntary associations entered to regression model and explained 19 percent of dependent variable effects.
