Socrated Memoirs, written by Xenophon, presents a picture of Socrates different from Platoʹs view of Socrates. Having delved into Xenophonʹs work which has the form of biography, the author offers an account about Socratesʹ political philosophy extracted from this work. Among the philosophical issues which have been discussed are the methodology of Socratesʹ dialogues, Socratesʹ anthropology and epistemology which are based on manʹs ability to recognize facts and to know what he really is, the establishment of a political society and setting up a state, citizenʹs willing obedience to law, virtue-centredness and political Utopia. These issues have been extracted, classified and presented as questions about political philosophy.
