Hedayat al-Aʹma, A Mystical Text from the Subcontinent, Kashmir, in the llth/17th Century

Many books in different branches of knowledge were produced in India, during the reign of the Indian Timurids, particularly in the time of Shah Jahan (r. 1037-1068 AH). Among them, Hedayat al-Aʹma, a significant mystical authorship by Mohammad Hosein Khabbaz Kashmiri (d. 1052 AH), is ranked as a valuable mystical work. The article tries to give the authorʹs biography, followed by a critical review, together with some innovative materials from Hedayat al-Aʹma. To explain the value of the book, more clearly, some selected parts from its chapters are quoted.
