A Critical and Analytical Review of the Significant Rhetorical- Eloquent Works in Persian Literature

Since rhetorical sciences have long been used as a standard in aesthetical evaluations of the Persian and Arabic poetry and prose, the discourses and topics in these sciences are the ground of certain systematic and authoritative criticism in our literature. In fact, the most fundamental means of the ancient literary criticism should be sought in the rhetorical sciences. For this reason, we are apt to precisely observe, analyze, and, use the rhetorical-eloquent works which include different theories and devices of literary criticism. Accordingly, relying on the most authoritative sources and with a somewhat critical-analytical way, the present article tries to provide a brief review of the development of rhetorical-eloquent Persian works.
