چكيده لاتين :
Deoxynivalenol (DON) is a mycotoxin that commonly is produced by causing fungus of Fusarium head blight in small grain cereals. The toxin itself plays a crucial role in fungi pathogenesis during host plant infection by F. graminearum through inhibition of protein synthesis. One of the mechanisms for DON tolerance is alteration in target molecule in the cell i.e. ribosomal protein L3 (RPL3). The wild type and mutant versions of tomato RPL3 (LeRPL3) was transformed and expressed in a DON-sensitive yeast model. The results indicated the ability of the modified plant-derived RPL3s to complement toxin sensitive yeast and the mutation in the positions W258R and/or H259Y significantly enhanced the ability of the cells to grow in increased level of the DON.
