THE EFFECTS OF POPULATION CHANGES ON THE SPATIAL STRUCTURES OF THE RURAL SETTLEMENTS (A case study in central area of Birjand city)

This paper is aimed to review population changes including growth rates and structural changes (by gender, age and employment) on spatial structure and pattern of rural settlements transmittal in central area of Birjand, which is done by demographic analysis. The results show significant influence of trends of population changes and demographic instability of rural settlements on the spatial structures. Rural demographic evacuation, imbalance of population structure and rural settlements are results of such factors as population structural changes.
