EFFECTIVE SOCIO - ECONOMIC AND DEMOGRAPHIC FACTORS ON UNDER FIVE MORTALITY RATE IN SHOOSHTAR CITY

The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of the socio -economic and demographic factors on the under five mortality rate in Shooshtar city. Mortality is one of the three factors responsible for population movement, and plays an important role in population growth. Studying child mortality is imperative because children more than other age groups are posed to mortality risks. Since life style is influenced by socio- economic and demographic factors, social science researchers considering these factors increasingly in mortality particularly child mortality. Socio - economic and demographic characteristics affecting under 5 mortality rates in Shooshtar are described and explained. Using SPSS software, multi variable logistic regression analysis has been analyzed. Finally, the relationship between independent and dependent variable of children mortality rate has been studied in details.
