چكيده لاتين
The purpose of this research was to determine relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Job Burn-out of physical education teachers in high schools of seven districts of Mashhad.
This research was performed as a descriptive-correlative survey study, as well as field work.The participants in this study are 286 physical education teachers in high schools of seven districts in Mashhad and 220 (76%) out of this returned the questionnaires and, therefore, there was no sampling. In order to collect data, three questionnaires were used: Personal Characteristics, Emotional Intelligence and Burn-out that after measuring its validity and reliability, it was distributed among the subjects. For analyzing the data, descriptive statistics (Mean, Standard Deviation...) and inferential statistics (Correlation, Multiple regression and Analysis of variance tests) were applied. The results indicated that the rate of the Emotional Intelligence
among physical education teachers equals toX= 340.82, SD = 32.29; suggesting that the level of Emotional Intelligence is at the medium and high levels. The dimensions of Burn-out, (frequency & intensity) of physical
education teachers respectively were also equal to X = 35.19, SD =15.67 &
X = 42.95, SD = 17.90, showing that the Burn-out is at a large-scale level among the subjects. Correlation test between Emotional Intelligence and Burn-out dimensions of physical education teachers demonstrated, at level 5 P< 0.05, the correlation was contrary and significant.
It can be concluded that Emotional intelligence and Burn-out levels of physical education teachers may be due to their age and job qualification, respectively. Other findings indicate that due to a high burn-out level of physical education teachers, improving the emotional intelligence levels for this population- which is an improvable skill- can affect the decrease of job burn-out level.
