Evaluation of Structural Capacity of Geosynthetics in Asphalt pavement

Assessment of structural capacity of geosynthetics is necessary for economical evaluation of the flexible pavements. In this research structural capacity of geosynthetics is evaluated in the field by nondestructive method (Benkelman beam). This study is included some geosynthetics with deferent properties and this properties are controlled by the related quality control tests. For evaluating of structural capacity of these geosynthetics, nondestructive test (Benkelman beam) was done before and after implementation of asphalt layer (overlay). The obtained results is included representative rebound deflection for the pavement before and after implementation of asphalt layer (overlay). This study shows the low effect of geosynthetics in flexible pavement structural capacity. And the quality of implementation of geosynthetics and overlay materials is very important in performance of geosynthetics.
