Bibliography of the Persian Gulf

This gulf or the sea located in Iran and southern border of Iran with about 2000 km. is located at its North has been called the "Persian Gulfʹ or "Persian Sea" since a long time ago. It has taken its name from Persian lands (Iran) or Persian Empire created by Kourosh, the Great 2500 years ago. This name has been used and approved by all nations from the old time, i.e. the time of Babble up to now and all historiographers, geographers, politicians and reporters have mentioned this Gulf with this name in their works. However, in the last two or three decades, fake name of "the Arabian Gulfʹ has been substituted for "the Persian Gulf which is very hostile and baseless and is due to some political aims and intrigues of some plunderer and hegemonic countries which has also led to the intrigue of Iranʹs neighbors in Gulf. In this paper, we try to introduce the bibliography of the Persian Gulf and prove that this gulf has had no other names during the history on the strength of available references in Kerman and Hormozgan libraries and analyze some references of the introduced books.
