The Comparison of Political Cooperation in the Elections of the Sixth and Seventh Parliament

Participation in elections among many political cooperation indicators is regarded as one of the common criteria of cooperation recognition and investigation or political indifference. Regarding the importance of political elections in the social life of each country and the permanence of democracy, it seems essential to analyze the findings and effective factors on political cooperation. Parliament is considered as one of the channels of social-political and cultural cooperation of society which is affected by the societyʹs political-social construction. The present article is based on rational and functional models and aims to investigate the question that whether the rate of peoplesʹ political cooperation in Iran has changed in the elections of the sixth and seventh parliament in the countryʹs provinces. This question has been addressed by making use of t-test. Considering the comparison of the means, the percentage of peoplesʹ cooperation in the whole country in the elections of the sixth parliament has been more than their cooperation in the elections of the seventh parliament. In addition, the relationship of political cooperation with economic growth in provinces has been estimated through correlation coefficient and multivariate regression.
