چكيده لاتين :
Nitrocellulose is produced on a large scale by nitration of purified linters with nitrating acids(sulfuric and nitric acid). In this process, in addition to nitrated ester - that is the desired product - sulfate esters of cellulose is also formed that causes instability of nitrocellulose. A type of nitrocellulose used in production of propellants is a high nitrated nitrocellulose (more than 13.35% N) with high viscosity, because of high nitrogen content and high viscosity, stabilization of this type nitrocellulose is difficult. Instability of military grade of nitrocellulose, increases the probability of its self explosion during long term storage or in powders and propellants produced with this nitrocellulose. In this paper, factors influencing instability of nitrocellulose with high nitrogen content and high viscosity are practically investigated and a sample with stability of 1.7mlNO/gNC is obtained .
