چكيده لاتين :
Given that Iran is a country with different tribes, languages and cultures, naturally organizations consist of employees and costumers with different cultures. Hence, regarding current diverse cultures in organizations, managers should raise many capabilities to prevent contradicts resulting from diverse cultures and to use the opportunities for creating productivity and innovation to develop organizational goals and performance effectiveness. One of fundamental capabilities which enable managers in performing their duties to have desired performance is cultural intelligence. Cultural intelligence is individualʹs ability through constant learning and desired understanding of cultural versatility, values and rationalism and human understanding in culture situation and behavioral differences. Since reaching to this ability is very important for managers, the researcher was determined to perform a research based on one principle hypothesis and five secondary hypotheses to examine the cultural intelligence of governmental and private banksʹ managers and its effect on their performance. The research is descriptive-correlation and its level is fundamental. Research statistical society consists of managers of governmental and private banks including 549 persons. 221 of them were selected as statistical sample by layer sampling approach. In order to collect the data a questionnaire with two sections was prepared in which formal and content justifiability was high and its constancy was also tested and confirmed using coefficient of Chronbachʹs Alpha. Questionnaires were distributed among members of sample and data were collected by SPSS software and analyzed by the use of statistical tests, Pearson correlation coefficient, one-sided variance analysis of T test and multiple regression analysis. Results were as follow: There is no significant and positive relationship between cultural intelligence of governmental and private banks managers and their performance. But there is relationship between some dimensions of cultural intelligence and managersʹ performance. Among those dimensions, which have relationship with performance, are motivation dimension and strategic dimension. These findings point to this important issue that if bank managers have motivated cultural intelligence and strategic cultural intelligence, they will have better performance.
