A Survey on Social Capital and Factors Affecting it in Germi

Social capital is considered as one of the important matters in thinkerʹs opinion. Nevertheless, the presentation of quantitative and qualitative models seems to be somehow inadequate. This research tries to study social capital via trust, participation and integration according to different theories and approaches. The present paper analyzes social capital and factors affecting it in Garmi. A sample population of 375 people aged from 20 to 59 were chosen and questioned based on Cochran Formula. These factors are as follows: age, sex, study, media, socio-economic status and religious obligation. According to statistical findings, there is a significant relationship between religious obligation and social capital. The result shows that the other hypotheses (sex, age, study, media and socioeconomic status) are not confirmed. Therefore, one hypothesis is accepted.
