The effect that existing culture in an organization can have on the members of the organizationʹs job satisfaction is important and the stronger the culture is the more effect on the members it will have. In other words, a strong culture can create job satisfaction and improve membersʹ performance. Job satisfaction is a collection of satisfactory and unsatisfactory feelings that staff of the organization perceive their job based on those feelings. The main purpose of this research is to study the organizational culture of Islamic Azad University of Karaj and its relationship with job satisfaction.
In this paper survey method was adopted using questionnaires along with interviews with 400 employees in Islamic Azad University. In this study, due to limited individuals among the general community all the staff have been questioned. For obtaining validity and reliability of the tools, Alpha Cronbach Face validity was used. For evaluating the assumptions correlation coefficient test and for the evaluation of the research model logistic regression were performed.
Results of research shows that national identity variables, unity between individuals and organizational units and managementʹs support for the staff have the highest significant relationship with job satisfaction respectively. It is noteworthy that the above hypothesis has been at least 95 percent meaningful and has been approved. The Results of logistic analysis show that variables such as national identity, management support, integration among units, controlling methods and communicational patterns, are among those factors that maintain job satisfaction.
It may be argued that the development of individual creativity, high risk taking, increase in the staff participation in the management of organization, increase in unity and solidarity between people and units of the university, increase in national identity, the increasing managerial support for staff, strong and regular communication patterns at the university are among factors which provide occupational satisfaction among employees of an organization such as university.
