Reintroduction of Symbolic Capital in Imam Khomeiniʹs Thought and Speeches

The present article aims to discuss the social, cultural and symbolic capital of Imam Khomeini as the leader of the Islamic movement in Iran and the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Imamʹs capital is a combination of social and cultural capital, which has become symbolic and survived as a heritage for the political actors. The focus of this paper is to identify the symbolic capital in Imam Khomeiniʹs thought and speeches and offer a definition of Imam Khomeiniʹs social capital, cultural capital and symbolic capital
