چكيده لاتين :
Landslide hazard zonation mapping could provide valuable information to understand the probability of a given size of landslide occurring in a mapped area within a specific period of time. Landslide hazard mapping includes delineating the occurrences of phenomena in the past, and prediction about the occurrences of such phenomena in the future (high risk zones). The landslide susceptibility assessment has become a major subject for authorities responsible for regional land use and urban planning to reduce economic and social losses due to such geo-environmental hazards. and equal-value intervals have been applied to determine boundary of the landslide hazard zones. To generate the landslide hazard maps in 1:250,000 scale containing various risk zones, three different methods the so-called proposed guiding, single-variable normal-weight statistical, and fuzzy The first essential step to the landslide hazard assessment and susceptibility in the study area is to establish spatial databases for landslides including landslide inventory data and the effecting factors relating to the landslide occurrences. The Geospatial Information System (GIS) could provide a power tool to integrate and model the landslide hazard susceptibility for their spatial analysis and prediction. The main goal of this paper is to present the capability of GIS for systematic landslide hazard analysis and modeling of the Lorestan province in West Iran. The landslides occurrence and their relationships with various event controlling parameters have been addressed in this study. Two different methods namely; histogram break-points set have been applied. The comparison of the achieved landslide hazard maps suggests that the break-points histogram method for the classification of the risk values has been successful to produce more accurate susceptibility maps of the study area.
