The main purpose of the present paper is to study the relationship between shyness and English language learning among boy students studying in Iran Language Institute (ILI) centers. Out of the population of the study which were all the ILI students in Sirjan city, 50 were selected. 44-item Shyness Questionnaire was administered. The minimum and maximum scores in the questionnaire are 0 and 176. The language learning of the students was measured considering their end-of-the-semester test score. The results indicates that 40% of the ILI students are shy. Moreover, there is a significant correlation between their English language learning and shyness score. Regression analysis also indicates that English language learning can be predicted with 99% confidence by their shyness score. The regression equation is as follows:
English Language Learning Score = (33.669 + 0.497) Shyness Score
