چكيده لاتين :
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the impact of gender in attaining managerial positions in Islamic Azad University (IAU), Roudehen Branch. It also dealt with the issues such as women participation, knowing social status of the women, womenʹs job promotion, the pathology of womenʹs failure in gaining senior management positions, and the cultural, personality, and organizational aspects of womenʹs employment in different administrative levels. The population of the study consisted of all the faculty members and staff in the Islamic Azad University Roudehen Branch (amounted to 702), out of which 462 were randomly selected. In this descriptive research, a questionnaire with the reliability index of 0.8 was administered to collect data. To analyze the data, Pearsonʹs Product Moment coefficient of correlation and regression index were used. The results of the study indicates that some factors such as interest and self-confidence, individual factors, gender attitude to administrative positions, certain rules and regulations, together with experience and education are so influential in gaining administrative positions.
