The Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Time Management among the Mangers of IAU to Present an Appropriate Model for Time Management Based on Their Emotional Intelligence

The purpose of present research was to study the relationship between emotional intelligence and time management among the Islamic Azad University (IAU) managers to present an appropriate model for time management based on their emotional intelligence. The population of the study consisted of all the IAU managers out of whom 554 were selected as sample applying cluster random sampling. The research instruments were Cyberia - Shrink Emotional Intelligence Test and a researcher-made questionnaire of time management. The result of linear multivariate regression indicated that 1) There was a relationship between emotional intelligence and time management, 2) time management model based on the managersʹ emotional intelligence was as follows: Time Management = 1.017 + 0.26 x self-awareness + 0.017 x Self-motivation
