Regional Exploration of Uranium and Thorium in Dehbakri Area basis geophysical radiometric airborne data(Kerman province)

Geophysical radiometric airborne data have high importance for radioactive mineral exploration. In fact these data is major base for uranium exploration. In this study by airborne radiometric data interpretation collected from Dehbakri 1:5 0,000 sheet No. 7548II situated in SE Iran expectation areas for uranium &Thorium were recognized. First, by statistical analysis of these data and drawing contour maps these areas were distinguished. Next, these areas were controlled in field by field geophysical operations, sample collection and analyzed and data accuracy was considered. Also, geological data were considered and comprised with geophysical airborne data. Finally by interpretation of drawn maps, expectation areas for uranium exploration in the sheet were introduced and proposed.
