Users, users studies and human information behavior: A three-decade perspective on Tom Wilsonʹs "On user studies and Information needs"

The purpose of this paper is to review Wilsonʹs (1981) seminal article, "On user studies and information neds" by adapting a literature-based conceptual analysis, taking Wilsonʹs paper as the starting point, and evaluating the significance of, and later developments in, the issues dealt with in that article.
