Reflection on functions of art education in educational system

Art education is one of the principal and important functions of educational system that is related to development of aesthetic capabilities . Major part of importance of this function refer to itʹs influence on achieve of educational system goals which has been set in three dimensions of cognitive, affective and psycho-motor domains . In the other words , the art provides unique opportunities that help growth of human beings in all dimensions . Thus , educational specialists try to highlight the art education at curricula . But despite emphasis and several evidences , unfortunately in practice art education doesnʹt think about seriously , yet and became a accessory and minor subject in educational system . The main hypothesis of present article is art education can be one of the most important and effective curricula dimensions . So that present article investigate the educational and psychological outcomes of art education with regard to a set of research findings and documents . The results showed art education has superior situation at curricula for effecting on studentsʹ various capabilities. Moreover, the results of this study suggest that if educational system ignore art education, process of studentsʹ development will change to inefficacious and null process .
