Survey on hematological parameters of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in some of the rainbow trout farms of chaharmahal-va-bakhtiary province

During a four-season study over the hematologic indices of Rainbow trout in three farms in Chaharmahal-va- Bakhtiari province the following results were drawn. There was not a significantly difference in means of RBC count (1.4 X 106/ ml) in different farms and different seasons (P>0.05). Although means of WBC count (15.3X10 3/ml) showed a significant difference indifferent seasons(P<0.05) there was no significant difference among means WBC count in different farms (P>0.05). Mean hematocrite (45.07%) showed no significant difference among various farms and seasons. (P>0.5). Differential WBC count indicated the highest rate in lymphocyte (88.67 %) and the lowest rate in eosinophil (0.18 %). The highest lymphocyte percentage is similar to those of similar previous studies, against those of Strugeons which show 24-40 % lymphocyte in their differential WBC count. Mean of MC V (311.68/ Fl) demonstrated the significant difference among different farms and different seasons (P>0.05). Mean of MCH (71.82 pg) showed significant difference among farms and there was no significant difference among seasons. Mean of MCHC (26.34%) was unchanged during various seasons and among different farms. Fisher Exact Test was used to compare means and P value less than 5 was considered statistically significant.
