During 2006, in each season the contents of a number of abomasums of local sheep (l00)goats (100) and cattle (100) of Kazeroon were washed under running water in a 100 mesh sieve. The nematodes of each abomasums was collected separately ,counted and preserved in 70% alcohol containing 5% glycerine and were identified to the species after clearing in lactophenol. Among 1200 examined abomasums 184 (15.3%) harbored nematode and the rest (1016) were free of parasite. Seven species of nematode were identified ,the prevalence and intensity of which are as follow : Ostertagia ( Teladorsagia ) circumcincta From sheep (78%) ,1.92) goats (60%o, 2.14) O. ostertagi of cattle (77% , 2.92 ) O. occidentalis from sheep (14% ,2.4 ) goats (21%,1.66) and cattle (22.4%, 2.38) and Marshallagia marshalli from sheep (93%, 2) goats (90% , 3) and cattle (89.6%,2).Haemonchus contortus (0.07%,3) Camelostrongylus mentulatus (0.01%,1) and Parabronema skrjabini (0.04, 1.66) were collected from sheep only. Our findings revealed a high prevalence and very low intensity for nematodes other than species collected from sheep only. The prevalence of nematodes were statistically higher in spring and autumn than the other two season. Vet.J.of Islamic. Azad. Univ., Garmsar Branch. 4,4:181-185,2008.
