Mamloo Embankment Dam is under construction on the Jajroud River about 45 km southeast Tehran. The dam site is mainly situated on the neogene conglomerates, which have been mildly folded. In this paper, permeability of the dam site has been investigated. In this regard, data of Lugeon tests, such as Lugeon values and hydrogeomechanical behavior, and cement take are studied. To have a better and more precise study, the dam site has been divided into three parts, i.e. left bank, right bank, and central foundation. Then, different data obtained from 20 exploratory boreholes, grout curtain boreholes and check holes, have been investigated and compared. According to the results, the rock mass is impermeable; however the fractured zones, where concentrated on the right bank, are potentially possible areas for future leakages.
