Comparative study of serum levels of Zn, Cu, Ca, Alb in unpneumatic and suffering from fevered pneumatic calves referred to large animal veterinary Clinicʹs of Azad Islamic University branch of TABRIZ

Pneumonia is a prevalent respiratory disease in Iranian calves. Combination of several infectious factors, host disorders and environmental conditions cause prevalence of pneumonia, Economic damages of pneumonia in calves and diary lambs have been reported frequently relative to other factors. It is common factor in mortality of calves in dairy farming industry. In this investigation, from eighty calves suffering from pneumonia normally by symptoms such as fever, cough, nasal snuffles secretion and lung unnatural sound and forty apparently healthy calves, blood samples were drawn and their blood serums were removed, then the level of biochemical factors were compared in both groups. There is meaningful reduction in Zn, Cu, Ca and albumin levels in calves sufferings from pneumonia serum relative to healthy calves (P<0.001).
