relative advantage of apple and its role in rural economy of Simirom, Isfahan

The indicators of relative advantage which formed the theoretical Foundations of goods and services production; are major economic tools which can manage the economic activities and policy making. The present research; study the relative advantage of apple in Simirom according to the existed indicators._The results indicate that apple has an relative advantage compare to the other products in this region and according to relative indicators (NBPD; BPD; CPD); the employment rate and export of the mentioned products has an higher relative advantage in compare to other production factors. Although this product has relative advantage among with others production but due to monopoly in production limitation of soil and water; vulnerability against to unsuitable human and natural conditions and because of marketing and production; has some challenges; which it make necessary to diversified economics actives in the region. In the case of a compare comprehensive planning the mentioned production can be effective in economic development and sustainability of residents in the case study area.
