An Approach toward the Status of Professions in Ferdowsiʹs Shahnameh

Reconsidering Shahnameh in order to recognize the economic status of communities in the past times causes to have a better understanding concerning economic developments during the times which can help us know the same events. In each country the approach of the government and people toward professions has a direct impact on the economic status of that community. Ignoring or paying attention to a specific profession forms different social positions which surveying such points illustrates the economic status of societies, the rate of income, etc* In this research, it has been tried to answer the following questions scientifically. - What are the different types of professions in Shahnameh? - What criteria are effective in their classification? How much are the financial requirements of the families met according to the economic system being prevalent in the communities in Shahnameh and the income caused by them?
