Ghaaʹaani poems style and its effectivness of the Mamlooki and Ottoman Figurative Literature

Concrete (formal) approaches have a special status in Ghaaʹaani Shiraziʹs Volume of poetry. He uses several types of figures of speech and concrete devices for eulogistic purposes like panegyrics devoted to Prophet Mohammad. For instance the poet in an ode called "Bordia" makes himself obliged not to use the letter, "alif," (correspondent to the letter "a" in English) throughout the poem. In fact such playing with formal devices was dominant in the Arabic literature of the aforementioned periods particularly in the eulogistic poems devoted to Prophet Mohammad. Therefore analyzing Bordia in Ghaafaanifs volume with a look at its innovations, adynaton and unconventional exaggerations can be an exemplary study of the significant figurative and formal aspects of the literature of the period.
