چكيده لاتين :
The rapid growth of mass communication especially internet and satellite cause that young people face with variant information, data and subjects which can lead to cultural changes in some fields. This is a survey about the role of modern media with emphasizing the satellite and internet on the cultural identity of students (A case study of university students of chaharmahal and bakhtaiari province) therefore some variables like sex, residence, socio-economic status, their motivation for using media and the extent of loyalty to Islamic rules are considered . The independent variable is modern media (internet and satellite) and dependent variable is cultural identity. This is a survey research. The population of this study is university students of chaharmahal and bakhtaiari province. Sample size of the research is 390 students which were selected through multi -stage cluster sampling. Data was collected through questionnaires and SPSS soft ware was used for data processing. Finally, all the hypotheses except no. 2 (residence) are confirmed
