Penal Pattern and its Critical Assessment

With respect to continuous dynamics of penal thoughts which have led to emergence of at least three major and effective penal, clinical and social support patterns, role and impact of penal pattern is liable to study in adopting strategies to combat delinquency, and reacting against felons. The predominance of the earlier-mentioned pattern over variety of criminal or penal policy- makings on one hand, and its revival since 1950s on the other, makes the essentiality of examining theoretical principles and assessing the outcomes resulted from its execution inevitable. While studying the theoretical principles of the earlier-mentioned pattern, and criticisms about it, the findings of some researches and surveys related to the results of executing penal pattern is also paid attention to.
