A Survey on the Factors Effective in Tehrani Citizenʹs Satisfaction toward Police Performance with Concentration on Citizens of Northeast of Tehran

The present research aims identifying and recognizing the factors effective in citizensʹ satisfaction toward police performance in northeast of Tehran. Based on this, after having a glance at the history of the topic, the relationship between theoretical discussions of independent or dependent variables are examined to develop a theoretical model; and determine and evaluate the hypotheses of the research. The method used in the research is survey method, and is of correlation type; and in terms of application criteria is an applied survey conducted through using a self-made questionnaire. Respondents are all over 18. Samples have been gathered based on Cockran measurement formula. N=200 and multi - stage sampling which is a combination of cluster, categorical, systematic and random methods is performed in zone 3 of Tehran for gathering information. After extraction and process of the collected data, and preparation statistical indices of independent and independent variables; T tests, mean, Friedman, correlation and regression have been utilized to analyze the findings. The statistical findings indicate that citizen prefer to have indirect relationship with police rather than having direct relationship with police rather than having direct relationship with them. On the other hand, it is the polices honesty, attitude, accuracy, and proper responsibility toward their needs that has mad the public satisfied. The results of statistical tests indicate that all the research hypotheses have been effective in citizens satisfaction (99.9 %). In general, with respect to the results of multiple regression tests, independent hypotheses have managed to prove almost 81% of the relationship, i.e. the impact of independent variable over the dependent variable of citizens satisfaction.
