Suburbanization and Urban Security

Advent of megacities especially in developing countries is associated which some problems such as increasing suburbanization, increasing social abnormalities, huge economic and societal gas, poverty expansion, bipolarity in and reducing urban security. Majority of researchers, sociologists and psychologists have tried to establish a relationship between suburbanization and social abnormalities and shortages. Citiesʹ future world commission has warned that in 21st century, urban poverty will grow in the south hemisphere, and a great portion of urbanization will be based on informal economy and associated with expansion of informal habitation. The present article aims at further cognition of suburbanization and urban security to survey the relationship between the two issues. Intellectuals have introduced various viewpoints regarding suburbanization phenomenon in developing and developed countries. Chief among them are: a) problem - oriented viewpoint, b) puritanical viewpoint, c) solution - oriented viewpoint. Making a comparison between the viewpoints, it seems that the third viewpoint looks at the suburbanization phenomenon from a deeper and more comprehensive angle. The article does not confirm the direct relationship between suburbanization and feeling less secure. Hence, following the effort made to identify suburbanization problems, the article has recommended to recognize urban rights of those who live in outskirt. Furthermore, governments are recommended to promote their educational level, help them in getting the required skills, and provide them with the possibility of having access to tools to pave grounds for their recruitment, enhance their income and promote their lifestyle level But governments are not recommended to interfere in the peoples affairs or directly help them in meeting their ends.
