Type of Cultural Changes and Social Crises

Given Iranian society, in ordinary circumstances and without any crisis goes through fundamental changes through changes in the realm of culture, tendencies and visions; identifying backgrounds, important circumstances and effective factors on cultural changes is among scientific and social essentialities and requirements. Identifying the above-mentioned issues is of the same importance to scientists, politicians and managers. The question here is: «What kind of relationship is there between type of cultural changes, and their desirable and undesirable results such as social and cultural development and social-cultural crises?» Various experimental researches have been conducted to find an answer to the question. The experimental proofs resulted from researches conducted in Iran indicates the following: 1- Social and cultural values in Iran have an accumulative structure: while there are secular and physic values, we are faced with a new incorporative type of value, i.e. secular-physic values. Iranian people mostly have tendency toward incorporative values (40%), secular (31%), physic (6%) and 23.2% did not reply. 2- With respect to the above-mentioned point, given Iranian society is a post-modern polar- traditional society which has tendency toward secular or physic values; to some extent is breached, and the public is settled down in a more general predominance in terms of values. 3- The importance of changes is incorporative and multilateral rather than unilateral and biased. However, there are some tendencies toward physic values with respect to individualsʹ age and education level. 4- Social crises have an incorporated nature.
