Deviance and leisure time (A case study of the social pathology among the Tabrizʹs youths)

The present study is an exploration of the social Pathology of leisure time among the youths (both girls and boys) (N=404) selected from Tabriz city in Eastern Azerbaijan Province whose ages were ranging from 15 to 29. The present survey was conducted by means of questionnaires and focus group interviews of subjects in summer 1387 .This survey attempted to investigate the effect of youth leisure time activities including: sports, art, socio-cultural, educational, scientific, practical and entertaining activities on committing social deviances and Pathology including: sexual deviation, harassments , illegitimate relationship and homosexuality . The present survey investigated kind of youth sexual deviation and harassments. As the Results of the study show that there is no significant correlation between social deviations and leisure time activities, it (regression analysis) also show the most negative significant relationship between the sport activities and social deviances.
