A survey about the dimensions of social capital and its role in urban development (A case study of Tehranʹs District No.5)

The purpose of this research is to survey about the dimensions of social capital and its role in urban development (A case study of Tehranʹs District No.5). This is a survey research and a cluster sampling method with the sample size of500 persons was employed.The findings are based on the grade of awareness, public trust, institutional trust, formal participation, informal charity participation, informal cooperative participation, and informal religious participation. There is a positive relationship between social capital and urban development (Tehranʹs District No.5). In the event that the more developed district have a great rate of awareness, public trust, institutional trust, formal participation and informal cooperative participation .Also there is a less informal religious participation and Institutional trust and informal char it}ʹ participation are the same in the district.
