The human beings need to live together as the basis of "socialization" in Human societies. People by accepting the social roles in a given society; internalize their social behaviors, social norms and social values of that society. The function of some important social institutions and organizations in the society is socializing the people. In this case, institution of education is one of these institutions and organizations. Education through its various textbooks does this function. The research underlined: "The role and prestige of women in Farsi text books of high schools in Iran (2007) mentions how the education system in schools by presenting the social beliefs, social values and social norms in Farsi text books educate the young people, the girls and boys, how to act and how to communicate to each other.
The content analysis of the Farsi textbooks shows that gender inequalities exist in education system of Iran. Among 3029 "names" presented in Farsi textbooks, only 16% of these names allocate to women and among 782 well names in Iran, only 37 names belong women. From the pictures and photos of the famous people presented in textbooks only 1 picture belongs to woman and 122 photos allocated to men .There are 1170 photos of the people presented in textbooks and only % 24 of them belong women and finally, among the 88 writers of the text books, only 22 of them are women.
