A study of the effect of organizational culture on School Improvement

The aim of this survey research was to understand the effect of organizational culture on school improvement from the viewpoint of teachers of Shiraz School District One. Population for the study included all high school teachers in District one of Shiraz during 1386-87 academic year. The sample population, by use of Morgan Table, was 400 teachers, selected randomly. Two standard questionnaires, namely organizational culture and school Improvement instrument, based on Likert scale, were used. The reliability of the questionnaires was calculated by Cranbachʹs Alpha, which were both at significant level of 0.90 and 0.97 respectively. Data collected were analyzed by using Pearsonʹs correlation method. Results showed that there were significant relationships between the dimensions of school culture and school improvement;
