An investigation on the effect of cultural believes of public organization managers on using management and decision making style in the city of Isfahan

The research used the descriptive and survey method. Statistical population included 620 managers of Isfahan public organizations, 129 of whom were selected based on stratified sampling as sample population. Data collection instrument was a 50-item questionnaire, designed based on 5 degrees of Likert scale. The reliability of the instrument was calculated 94% through Cranach alpha ratio. Data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, meanʹ as well as such inferential statistics as single variable t test, independent t, and variance analysis. The statistical sample confirmed the effect of desires and trends, thoughts and beliefs, and behavior on applying management approaches and decision making. The comparison of respondentsʹ ideas in terms of demographic characteristics such as gender, education, and experience showed no remarkable difference.
