Efficiency of Islamic Government in Imam Khomeiniʹs Viewpoint

The elucidation of viewpoints of contemporary political thinkers and philosophers can help the researchers find fundamental solutions for the efficiency of the Islamic Government. In this regard the elucidation of Imam Khomeiniʹs viewpoints about the efficiency of the Islamic Government and elaboration of related factors and principles are of special importance. Hence the main question of the present study is: Can Islamic government be considered an efficient government? In other words, do the necessary capabilities and capacities exist in the Islamic government for an efficient government? Attempts have been made in the present study to enumerate the factors of efficiency in Imam Khomeiniʹs viewpoints regarding the Islamic government; these factors are: civilization building, human rights, democracy, and mutual rights of the governments and nation. Also attempts have been made to introduce the principles and indexes based on Imam Khomeiniʹs thought and his precept and speeches regarding the Islamic government. Finally, the main focus of the present paper is to avoid the prevailing divisions and theories about the efficiency of the government and instead infer it from the factors stemming from Imam Khomeiniʹs statements and words.
